We are Drum RDA

Since 1959, we have been offering disabled people of all ages the opportunity to experience the life-changing benefits of equine therapy.

Our horses benefit the lives of over 200 disabled children and adults per week. We provide therapy, fitness, skills development and opportunities for achievement – all supported by our amazing volunteers, instructors, and donors like you.

We are an inclusive and diverse organisation. We welcome all those with physical and learning disabilities and autism from 4 years old.

We are a charity, and we can only carry out our life-changing activities thanks to the generosity of our donors, the dedication of our volunteers and the good nature of our fantastic horses.

Get Involved

Volunteer with us and use your time, skills and enthusiasm to help more people feel the benefits of therapeutic riding! Whether you can coach or bake cakes for fundraisers, there are so many different ways to get involved. Whatever skills you can bring, giving your time to us will mean that more disabled people can enjoy the therapy and fun of horses.

Volunteering with RDA should be rewarding and fulfilling – and we want you to benefit from your time with us.

We need a wide range of skills – and not just with horses! RDA is a diverse organisation and we are at our best when we bring together people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities.

‘RDA has built a world-class reputation on the strength of its expertise, coaching and horsemanship. These are strengths that must remain at the heart of everything we do in the coming years.’

— Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal, President and Patron of the RDA
